Inside iPad Mini: screen and processor of Samsung with stereo speakers

Apparently, the iPad Mini looks like a miniature iPad 2, but also inside it like? To answer this question, iFixit has conducted for this deviece to "surgery table".


Mini iPad shares many similarities with its big brother. Some hardware is held together by an adhesive layer, similar to the third-generation iPad, so the free replacement or repair will become more difficult.

The screen of the device iFixit have on hand is manufactured by Samsung, it is not clear there is no other company to join or not. Apple's A5 SoC iPad Mini is produced on the 38nm line, the same type used in the new iPad 2 launch earlier this year rather than first-generation 45nm chip like the iPad 2. Apple now has stereo speakers layout for iPad Mini (HD Kindle Fire again) and it is also the first handheld Apple owns such dual speakers.
